Las Vegas Jacks of All Trades
As a designer and avid basketball fan with a passion for the NBA and NBA2K, I often conceptualize designs for my own basketball teams. I’ve designed jerseys for most of the teams I’ve played with, and naturally, I wouldn’t miss the chance to create one for my NBA2K team! So, for NBA2K25, I present my entry: the Las Vegas Jacks (of All Trades), or simply, The J.O.A.T.
My concept was inspired by Las Vegas’s casino culture. However, with “Kings” already claimed by Sacramento and “Aces” by the WNBA’s Las Vegas team, I needed a different approach. Drawing on the “jack of all trades” moniker often used to describe me, I landed on the Las Vegas Jacks. This evolved into the nickname “J.O.A.T.” (Jack of All Trades), a playful pun on the term “G.O.A.T.” (Greatest of All Time).
The team’s logo features a Jack playing card mascot on his triple threat stance. I incorporated royal colors like purple, gold, silver, and raspberry pink. The team name logo playfully uses the initials “LV” to form the “V” in “Vegas,” with a basketball adorned with card suits.
The official primary jersey showcases a three-tone design with purple, raspberry pink, and black on the top and a gradient black-to-purple on the shorts. The design evokes the image of players wearing royal robes and gold-accented armor.
While the jersey design might be unconventional for an NBA team, I embraced the creative freedom offered by the 2K platform to bring my unique vision to life.
