When I joined 188 in 2010, the brand was still in its infancy. Throughout my early years with the brand, I was given the opportunity to design and develop various external websites, promoting its different products, services, and endeavors.
The following external sites paved the way for numerous others that were developed over the years.
188Sport
In 2012, I was tasked with designing and developing another external website to promote the brand specifically in China. It was another gateway site that the brand used to promote itself, providing news and predictions on the latest football matches.
188Affiliates
In 2011, the brand decided to launch its own affiliate website. I was tasked with designing the external site.
188SlamDunk
In 2011, I was also assigned another external website project called 188SlamDunk. It was an exciting design project for me, even though it did not reach production. This project was special to me because of the models, imagery, and elements I incorporated into the design. I used my own NBA2K created MyPlayer game characters.
188Service
188Service was a one-page site that contained useful links for the brand. It was a simple, static site I designed in 2011 that served an important purpose.
188Cup
188Cup was the first external website that I designed and developed for 188. It was a static site that showcased the brand’s football club sponsors at the time. It also served as an affiliate gateway to the main brand’s site until it was decommissioned a few years later.
