Project Monk Initiative

In late 2016, the senior members of the Avantice Web Team embarked on a rebranding initiative for 188. Each member was given a part of the rebranding process based on the brand’s needs and each member’s specialization – Branding, User Experience, 3D, Graphics, Animation, Development, Music, etc.

I designed the logo for the project, featuring a monk. I actually based the design on my baby.

Since I’m a bit of a jack of all trades, I took over the Branding aspect. Branding is something that I always like to do. It helps me get to know and understand the brand. It gives me a lot of opportunity to be creative. And for this project, it helped me unlock a new skill: content writing. It also helped me further develop my confidence in presenting or pitching an idea, and at the same time, I helped coach some of my colleagues on presenting in front of an audience.

I really enjoyed working on this project initiative, even though the majority of it was not implemented. However, I’m not sure if they implemented it further after I left the company.
