Website Revamp, Banner Branding, Special Pages

2015

Because we loved revamping websites, in 2015, another revamp was done for 188BET, and each version got better and better.

For that website revamp, the best part was that we were given a blank canvas. Unlike the previous website versions that used some form of content management, the 2015 version was a content management system for coders.

The advantage was that we could create different layouts whenever we wanted. It was a blank canvas.

Here are the pages that I designed as initial pages that kicked off the new site’s branding guide. I believe this was the first time that UX was more recognized as part of the revamp, at least the basic parts of UX.

2016

I spearheaded the branding of the banner art style for this revamp. The style was a mix of minimalism, witty art concepts, and Greenburg photography style.

My responsibilities expanded this time, as I was increasingly asked to direct and oversee projects. Our talented team of designers easily followed the direction and maintained the quality standards I established. I was asked more often to do special projects, either at the marketers’ request or when the concept was something I wanted to handle personally.

Every year, 188 celebrates its birthday – 188BET Day. And this year, I was asked to create the initial banner art for all related promotions.

Another special project that I personally handled that year was the 188BET EURO 2016 landing page. My design concept was based on the actual EURO 2016 event. However, we were not allowed to use the actual event’s branding assets; therefore, I designed a similar version for us to use.
