Website Revamp, Banners & Collaterals
2010
In 2010, the Web Team spearheaded a revamp of the 188BET website and branding—the first of many that I would be involved in.
As the whole team was involved, each member had a specific area to focus on. My responsibility was the banner branding, which became a key highlight of the new homepage design created by my senior colleagues.
I was also fortunate to be part of the team that designed the site’s top three main products at that time, including Live Casino.
I was also asked to create the visual design for the new Poker product, using the then-current 188 branding. I also collaborated on the new banner branding for this product. I liked the idea that our individual styles would blend seamlessly, making it difficult to distinguish who designed which banner.
2012
In 2012, the same team participated in another revamp of the 188BET site. This time, the focus was on a seemingly small but significant layout change: expanding the retail space.
Since the site was banner-driven, we also upgraded the banner layouts, focusing on the copy, visual balance, and ease of maintenance.
That was also the first time I was asked to lead the banner branding, overseeing the layout, color, effects, copy style, and overall quality. I remember that was when I started to introduce a little bit of action and a sense of depth to the banners. I credit my senior colleagues for teaching me how to properly compose a design. Here are a few of the banners I designed.
That was also the first time I was asked to design product pages independently. The products I handled were Financials, Keno, Racing, and Poker.
